Sat-Wed, Mar 30 - Apr 3 - Leaving Santa Barbara, Flying to Tucson, Prepping for the Trip

Sat, March 30.

 Cold rainy weekend with over 4” of rain for the storm total.  Took Mitsy to CHH. I had to stay the car for a while until it stopped pouring!.  Mitsy growled and hissed, but went into her suite.  

Sun, March 31.   

 Easter; the morning was sunny, at least.   Packed.

Mon, April 1. 

9:30 taxi to to SBA. We had the same driver who said we usually go to the airport at 4AM!      Got on SW and had a lovely flight over SB with snow on the mountains.  Landed in Las Vegas and finally found a sandwich place so we could split a roast beef sandwich and an orange pop while surrounded by glitzy slot machines.  Off to Tucson and met Hilary. We had to walk through a shower to get to her car!!

Went to the 19th Hole for dinner at the Best Western.  I had my favorite bean burger! 

Hil still  hasn’t received her permit to take her car into Mexico (as the bank still owns it) so we discussed places to go in Texas.

Tue, Apr2. 

Up early,  Hilary and I went to Safeway for shopping for dinner tonight and for drinks and snacks for our drive to Texas or Mexico    Hilary Has her Car papers from her bank!! We took a walk around the neighborhood, relaxed after lunch.  4 PM started baking chicken with garlic and lemon  5:30 Teri arrived.  Great to see her!  Her Valley Fever seems to be better but still confusing as to exactly what is wrong with her.  RR reviewed all the problems with David And Vietnam.   Bed at 11 after researching our Alamos hotel once again,  as to where it is??!!

Wed, Apr 3.

Up at seven. Slightly warmer today.  Got cash at the ATM.  Sat and read in the warm sun.  Dinner of left over chicken from last night.  Watched “The Holdovers” with Paul Giamatti
